Quick bio

Courtney Anixter is a freelance writer and Chicago native. Okay, fine. She grew up in the suburbs, but considers herself a bona fide city gal now.

She graduated from Indiana University in 2005. Go Hoosiers! (Not
really. She never attended one basketball game—shh, don’t tell anyone.)
Courtney fancied it up with her Master of Arts from NYU in 2006. Additionally, Courtney completed two different writing workshops, including one at the famed Second City.

After ten years in the corporate world, she decided to channel her creative
side and launched her own speechwriting company, Consult Courtney, in
2015. (Follow her on Insta. She’ll appreciate it.) She serves as a
ghostwriter composing various speeches for weddings, fundraisers,
and/or website content.

Courtney is a born and raised Cubs fan. She's also a proud aunt of five amazing nephews. She quotes Friends on a daily basis and wishes she could still hang out with the gang at Central Perk. Ultimately, Courtney would describe herself a cross between Penny Lane and Carrie Bradshaw—just a music lover writing her own story.

...And she lived happily ever after.

Told ya. Always laughing.
